Survey: Math Skills Translate Into Bigger Pay Checks : NPR

As a follow up to yesterday’s post about math skills opening the door to lucrative careers, only 42 percent of white students were proficient in mathematics on the 2007 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), compared to 14 percent of black students, 17 percent of Hispanic students and 17 percent of low-income students.
